Last flight of March

Back from Thailand there's just enough time to get a last flight in March, showing my student Quinten's wife what it is he gets excited about up in the skyye.

I love these sunset flights and the last glimpse of sunrays over Durban

Commercial flights to Thailand via Dubai

I think I've said before I love airports and flying and take as many opportunities I can get to do some travelling. Our flight took us on Emirates to Dubai from Durban where we boarded the incredible A-380 for our flights to and from Bangkok - headed to the Full Moon Party on Koh Phangan island, Thailand.

The low landing speed of the A-380 is amazing - that a plane so heavy can remain in the sky at this speed
Final approach to Dubai airport after an evening flight from Durban. I was not in the cockpit so had to make do with the aircraft TV cameras to lead the way.
The massive wing of the Airbus A-380 needed to give the lift to keep us afloat

We went from aircraft to scooters in Thailand as our preferred method of transportation
